Description: These are so wel known generally unto my Country men to grow among their Corn, that I suppose it needless to write any Description therof: There are other kinds which I purposely omit both in this and others, my intent being only to insist most principally upon the vulgarly known, and commonly growing Flowers and Herbs.

Time: They Flower and Seed in the Summer Months.
Use: The Pouder or dried Leavs of the Bluebottle, or Cornflower is given with good success to those that are bruised by a fal, or have broken a Vein inwardly, and void much Blood at the Mouth, being taken in the Water of Plantane, Horstail, or the greater Comfry. It is a Remedy, against the Poyson of the Scorpion, and resisteth al other Venoms and Poysons; The Seed or Leavs taken in Wine is very good against the Plague, and al infectious Diseases, and is very good in Pestilential Feavers. The Juyce put into fresh or green Wounds doth quicky soder up the Lips of them together, and is very effectual to heal al Ulcers and Sores in the Mouth: The Juyce dropped into the Eyes, taketh away the heat and inflamation in them. The distilled Water of the Herb hath the same properties, and may be used for all the Effects aforesaid.
